You could use windows to do the back ups for you if it's easier but personally just grabbing what I need manually and just dragging it over always seems to be the easiest way imo. I tried mapping the share as a drive but the mapped drive does not show up on the list on the left.Coming from someone who's done plenty of windows reinstalls over the years I personally just plug in a external HDD and copy and paste everything I want and back it up onto the hard drive. So I have not found a way to backup a network shared folder. It appears that you must tick one of the boxes on the left in order to then enter a path on the right.
